How the menus work
At lunch there are two tasting menus, a longer full version and a shorter one that the restaurant says is designed to be enjoyed in two hours, plus a three-course set lunch. On Wednesday and Thursday evenings guests choose between the full and short tasting menus; on Friday and Saturday evenings only the full tasting menu is served.
Because the menus are fixed, dietary adjustments are kept as small as possible so the meal stays as it was designed. The restaurant asks guests to tell it about requirements when booking.
Practical notes
Lunch is served Thursday to Saturday, with the restaurant closing at 4pm, and dinner Wednesday to Saturday, closing at 11pm. Reservations are made through an online form and need card details to secure them. Bookings are released a month at a time; a waiting list covers cancellations.
There is pay-and-display parking in front of the restaurant and along Chesterton Road, free after 5pm, with a small car park a few doors away at the Boathouse pub. The railway station is about 1.5 miles away.
