The Cambridge pubs here range widely. The Mill stands on the bank of the Cam beside the millpond on Mill Lane, and the Eagle on Bene't Street is a Grade II listed coaching inn dating from 1667. The Free Press is a backstreet pub on Prospect Row first licensed in 1834, and the Cambridge Blue on Gwydir Street is a freehouse known for its real ales and ciders. The Pickerel Inn on Magdalene Street is a Grade II listed building, and the Rupert Brooke is on Broadway in Grantchester. Pages for the Flying Pig (closed 2021) and the White Horse Tavern (demolished 1870) record pubs that no longer trade.
