Open to all
Pint Shop is at 10 Peas Hill, in the middle of the city centre. It is the first Pint Shop, opened in November 2013; the company also runs a beerhouse in Oxford. The company says it found an empty Grade II listed office building dating from 1830, which had once been a house where the novelist E. M. Forster lived.
Craft beer and the Beer Act
The pub's story starts with the Beer Act of 1830, which let anyone who paid a small fee brew and sell beer from their own home. The all-day menu runs Monday to Saturday and ranges from scotch eggs, whitebait and mussels to pork belly, battered haddock and fishcakes.
