The Dumpling Tree is a Chinese restaurant and bar at 59 Perne Road, on the south-eastern side of Cambridge. Its menu leans on dishes from Yunnan, in southern China, together with handmade rice noodles and dumplings folded in-house each day.
Food and drink
The restaurant describes Yunnan cooking as bold, fresh and balanced, and sets alongside it some Chinese classics. A separate bar menu pairs cocktails, wines and spirits with the food, and there is a happy-hour drinks menu. The programme also includes DJ nights and seasonal events such as Chinese New Year, as well as dumpling masterclasses where guests make their own.

Table bookings can be made online. Kitchen hours stated on the website are 11:30 to 20:45 Monday to Thursday, 11:30 to 21:30 on Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 to 20:00 on Sunday; the bar stays open later, so check the site for current times. Free parking is available.
