Campus Cycle Hub
A bike workshop and shop on the Addenbrooke's campus, with same-day repairs and no booking needed.
The Campus Cycle Hub is the bicycle workshop and shop on the Addenbrooke's site, on Richard Howe Way. It is run by Cambridge Electric Transport, a local company that also offers electric bikes, a staff-travel service for hospital employees and a second hub at the Cambridge Science Park.
What it does
The hub's pitch is speed. Its website says most repairs are done the same day, with no appointment: leave the bike in the morning and collect it later. Beyond repairs it stocks accessories, cycling wear and safety equipment, and it describes itself as a specialist in e-bikes and e-scooters. Refurbished bikes are available to buy or to rent.
Practical notes
Opening hours given by the hub are 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, and 11:00 to 16:00 at weekends and on public holidays. No booking is needed for repairs. Check it before a special trip, as the same page also covers the Science Park hub, which keeps weekday hours only.
